The EMBO Young Scientists Forum (EYSF) provides a great opportunity for young scientists (doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers) to share their findings and interests with an international and interdisciplinary audience and connect with fellow colleagues from various disciplines throughout Europe. The event assembles distinguished leaders in life sciences and occurs yearly in a European city where EMBO grant principal investigators are located.
The 14th EYSF, organized by EMBO Installation Grantees from the Turkish academia, will take place at Izmir Institute of Technology in İzmir, Turkey.
The 14th EYSF gathers young scientists by giving them the chance to interact with experts and present their innovative research. It also creates the opportunity to exchange ideas and information and establish collaborations.
We invite you to join our event, which will be held in a festive atmosphere in the beautiful environment of Urla, İzmir, with speeches on topics such as grant writing, publication ethics, science ethics, as well as scientific content.

We encourage you to submit your work and present it as a Short Presentation during the 14th EMBO Young Scientists' Forum.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
- All abstracts will be submitted in English.
- Only oral presentation abstracts can be submitted, there will not be any poster presentations.
- All abstracts should be submitted through the online abstract submission & evaluation system at https://abstract.eventigizer.com/emboysf2024
- Make sure to list authors in the correct order and select the presenting author when asked.
- Indicate full author affiliations (full institution name, city, and state) in English.
- All abstracts should be structured in 4 parts and below headers should be included in the abstract:
- Background/Aim
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Abstracts will not be allowed to exceed 300 words (excluding titles).
- Text should be concise and clear. Abbreviations should be defined at first mention.
- Take careful consideration for typing errors
- List minimum 3, maximum 5 keywords.

- IYTE Guesthouse is located within the Izmir Institute of Technology Campus.
- The above-mentioned rates are per room per night.
- VAT and city tax are included in the prices.
- Breakfast is not inlcuded in the mentioned prices, and there is no breakfast service in the guesthouse premises. However there is a restaurant serving breakfast only 50 meters from the guesthouse.
- All bookings are done per room, and not individuals. If you are accommodating with friends and wish to change your booking, please be informed that the whole room's booking will have to be changed.
- In the rooms; bathroom-WC, kitchenette (mini fridge + electric cooker), 24-hour hot water, air conditioning (heating / cooling), WI-FI and car parking services are provided within accommodation fees.
- Izmir Institute of Technology Campus has restaurants, cafes, fastfood places, laundry and shopping centres.
- Single and Double Accommodation options are limited and room assignments will be made in accordance with the availability of IYTE Guesthouse.
- Molbiyokon'24 would like to offer the facilities of KYK Dormitories for the congress participants however currently the government is considering to let out the dormitories to retirees for vacation accommodation support therefore the KYK Dormitories cannot commit to take on guests at this time
- We will be monitoring the situation and make the KYK Dormitories available if possible.
- Full refund except for bank/credit card charges until August 1st, 2024.
- 50% refund for cancellations made between August 1st and September 1st, 2024.
- No refund for cancellations made after September 1st, 2024.
- All cancellation requests must be done in writing to emboysf2024@evronas.com and confirmed in order to be valid. Refunds will be made after the end of the congress.
